There are certain steps you can take prior to your visit to our walk-in clinic that will help you manage the injury:
- Wash your hands before touching your wound.
- Keep the area around your injury clean.
- Bandage any open wound.
- If you have sustained a muscle or bone injury, refrain from using that part of your body as much as possible.
- Refrain from taking strong over the counter medications if you’re seeking prescription medication from the clinic.
- If you are intoxicated due to drug or alcohol use, try to remember how much of which substance you ingested and how long it’s been in your system.
- Have a sober and responsible driver safely take you to the clinic.
- If you sustained the injury while working, report your injury to your employer immediately before leaving the workplace.
